At Happy Way, receiving feedback from you—our community—is something we appreciate and value deeply. It not only lets us know what we’re doing right, but more importantly, it tells us what we’re doing wrong, allowing us to grow and do better as a brand.

Firstly, we would like to apologise sincerely for a recent post we made on social media that referenced the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial in a way that was insensitive to the situation and has caused discomfort amongst our community. It certainly wasn’t our intention to make light of domestic violence and the circumstances that come with it, and upon listening to your feedback, we thought it best to remove the post completely and reflect upon our decision to post it in the first place.

Domestic violence is a serious topic that has affected many, and is something that far too many people have been victims of and experienced first-hand—both women and men alike. It is definitely not something to be joked about and as a brand that values health, wellness, fun and happiness, we realise that this was a massive error in judgement on our part and an opportunity for us as a team to learn and educate ourselves around domestic, family and sexual violence in this country, and beyond.

Words cannot express enough how sorry we are for the pain and discomfort caused by this post and the emotions it may have brought up. We’re here to own it, to take responsibility and to let you all know that we hear you, we understand you and we promise to do better moving forward.
