CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY WITH SAM
At Happy Way this month we're celebrating International Women’s Day, and we thought it would be a great opportunity to reach out to one of our newest brand ambassadors, Samantha Fowler, and get her insight on what the occasion means to her.
Sam is a Sydney based, self-care and self-love advocate who’s passionate about getting the most out of life and using her platform to educate and empower women to do the same! She understands how important it is to take care of her own health and well-being, not only for herself first and foremost, but so she can show up for her family and friends as her best self.
Sam is a busy mum of 3, recently giving birth to her baby girl this month—a big congrats from all of us here at Happy Way Sam!—so it’s super important to her that amongst all the chaos of raising and caring for a family, that she takes a well deserved time out, to recharge her batteries and give herself some love. Whether that be treating herself to a face mask, or a quick session at the gym, some quality ‘me’ time is at the top of Sam’s to-do list!
So, being an absolute Superwoman, we wanted to get the inside scoop on what International Women’s Day means to Sam and how she celebrates the women in her life. We also asked Sam to share some of her favourite Happy Way recipes and of course the Happy Way products that she already can’t live without!
Welcome to the Happy Way family Sam—we’re so glad you’re here!
SAM’S HAPPY WAY ADDICTIONS!
Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
This has to be my all-time favourite protein powder—I’m always in the mood for it and it probably goes in every single smoothie recipe I’ve ever made! I love that I can have it in a smoothie with some of my favourite fruits, oats or yoghurt, or on the go as a protein shake. If there was only one product I could recommend to someone who was new to Happy Way, this would be it!
BCAA Powder – Raspberry
I love having this before and during my workouts for that extra boost of energy. One of my favourite things about this powder is that it helps my muscles repair and recover after an intense training session, which allows me to get on with my day and run after my 3 kids, without being all achy and tired!
Super Greens Powder
For me, this is the perfect way to get some of the nutrients I need in my daily diet, by simply adding a scoop of this Super Greens Powder into my smoothies. Packed with vitamins and minerals and all the goodness from leafy greens and other antioxidant-rich superfoods, this powder not only tastes great but leaves me feeling fab too!

SAM AND INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY
What does celebrating IWD mean to you?
Celebrating International Women’s Day means so much to me! I love celebrating the women in my life who inspire and motivate me to be the best version of myself—they literally make me want to be a better person and I can’t thank them enough for that. It’s also a day where I reflect on how far we’ve come as women over the years and how much work still needs to be done—to create a world for my daughters where women feel free and empowered.
How do you show up and support the women in your life?
I show up for the women in my life, and for those I’ve connected with online, by always being there to support them. Whether this is by reminding them of their worth, the amazing job they’re doing in life, or that they can do anything they dream of—no idea is too big!
Why is IWD important to you?
It’s important to me because I want to set an example for my young daughter (and my new baby girl!), and let her know that she can do anything she wants or puts her mind to! One of my favourite quotes will always be, ‘Here’s to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them’—it’s so powerful and so true.
Growing up, family members would often make comments about me when I reacted emotionally to something, or when I was being too talkative, saying it was because I was a girl. I hated feeling like I was put in a box because of my gender or that I had to be a certain way to get the respect I deserved or to feel heard and understood. I always remind my daughter that she can do whatever, and like whatever she wants if it makes her happy and that she’s absolutely allowed to feel everything that she’s feeling.
There have even been times as an adult when I’ve felt like I couldn’t do something because I was a woman, and my daughter has responded to me by saying, ‘But mum, I thought you said girls can do whatever boys can do?’. She’s truly my inspiration because I don’t want her to grow up limiting herself because she’s a girl.
