Ingredient breakdown

Charge Up (1)

Proprietary Amino Acid Blend

L-Glutamine

L-Glutamine is an amino acid that creates protein. It is already produced by the body, but can also be found in certain foods, such as eggs, milk, tofu and rice. It can be consumed in a powder supplement form too, which helps with deficiencies of the nutrient. L-glutamine can assist with immune function, being an energy source for our cells, and contribute to overall intestinal health, preventing bad bacteria and nasty toxins entering the body.

L-Arginine

Another amino acid, L-Arginine is considered a semi essential amino acid, meaning that during certain times such as pregnancy, infancy, severe illness or trauma, it must be sourced externally. It can be taken in supplement form and is often used by athletes to increase their performance, as it enhances blood flow and oxygen in muscles. L-arginine can also help control blood pressure and blood sugar levels in the body.

BCAA 2:1:1 (L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, L-Valine)

BCAA 2:1:1 (or branched-chain amino acids) is a supplement containing three essential amino acids, leucine, isoleucine and valine. They help to increase muscle growth, manage muscle recovery and repair, provide energy during exercise whilst also reducing fatigue, and support overall immunity.

Chicory Inulin

Inulin is a prebiotic fibre found in chicory, that helps to feed and grow the good gut bacteria. Promoting healthy digestion, reducing inflammation and aiding in the control of blood sugar, chicory inulin can help support weight loss as it is believed to help reduce appetite.

Charge Up (2)

Proprietary Thermogenic Blend

L-Carnitine

L-Carnitine is another important amino acid and nutrient that is available in supplement form but also produced naturally in the body, and it’s also found in certain foods like meat or fish. It helps to provide energy, can contribute to weight loss, and benefit brain function - even assisting with the reversal of brain decline for those suffering from Alzheimers and other brain diseases.

Green Coffee Bean Extract

Rich in antioxidants, green coffee beans are essentially raw, unroasted coffee beans. The extract is known to help promote weight loss, and can reduce risk of certain health concerns such as diabetes and heart disease. It can also help to lower blood sugar levels and control blood pressure.

Green Tea Extract

We all know that green tea is a super popular hot beverage, but in its concentrated form it is also super rich in antioxidants. Green tea has many health benefits such as aiding in weight management, improving liver function, boosting skin health, and enhancing exercise performance and recovery. It is also known to protect brain cells from oxidative stress, which can improve memory and fight against brain diseases.

Capsicum Annuum

Capsicum annuum, also known as cayenne pepper, is a spice that has many health benefits. Whilst we often add it to food in a natural or powdered form for flavour, it can also help with digestion, boost metabolism, support weight loss, and relieve migraine, nerve and joint pain. It’s also a rich source of nutrients and vitamins, in particular vitamins A and E.

Guarana Extract

Guarana is a native plant found in Brazil that produces a red, berry type fruit. The extract is created by processing the black seeds found inside the fruit into a powder form. Another rich source of antioxidants, guarana contains similar levels to that of green tea. It can reduce fatigue,  increase focus (being that it contains high amounts of caffeine ) , benefit heart health and boost metabolism.

Siberian Ginseng

Siberian ginseng, also known as eleuthero, is an Asian herb that has been used for centuries for it’s healing properties in treating illness. It can often help protect the body from stress and offer relief from symptoms of anxiety and depression. It can also contribute to reducing feelings of fatigue, and increase energy and muscle function during exercise.

Black Pepper Extract

We all love a bit of pepper on our food to spice things up, but black pepper extract actually has many health benefits too. Packed with antioxidants, it also helps fight against inflammation, which is a condition in many heart related diseases, as well as cancer, arthritis and diabetes.

Curcumin

Curcumin is found in one of our favourite healthy spices, Turmeric, although it’s levels are much higher if taken in a supplement form. It is high in antioxidants and has strong anti-inflammatory effects that are considered to be as high as some anti-inflammatory drugs - only without the side effects, being that Curcumin is 100% natural. It also improves brain function by producing a specific brain hormone that helps fight against disease.

Rice Flour

Rice flour is milled from either white or brown rice and is a popular flour used extensively around Asia, Japan and India. It’s gluten free, high in fibre and rich in vitamins, nutrients and protein. Because of this rice flour can help lower cholesterol, aid in healthy digestion and improve blood sugar levels. Rice flour also contains the nutrient choline, which supports overall liver function and good liver health.

Marine Algae (Lithothamnion sp.)

Red marine algae is a sea vegetable that is high in protein, fibre, and filled with vitamins and minerals. It can help to improve overall blood health as well boost your immune system. Also rich in antioxidants, red marine algae provides a lot of skin care benefits, helping to hydrate and clarify, and it’s found in a lot of beauty products.

Organic Quinoa Sprouts

High in fibre and nutrients, quinoa is gluten free and contains all of the essential amino acids, making it a complete protein. It helps to control blood sugar, assists with digestion and provides a subtle flavour.

Organic Acerola Powder

Often compared to cherries, acerola are a plant grown, berry type fruit, known for being a rich source of vitamin C. Considered an antioxidant, acerola also contains good amounts of minerals, such as calcium and iron.

Thaumatin

Because we steer clear from artificial flavours and sweeteners, we use the all natural ingredient thaumatin, to add that sweet touch to our products. Sourced from the katemfe fruit which is found in the rainforests of Africa, thaumatin is considered a protein, unlike a lot of other natural sweeteners. Because it’s potency is much stronger than sugar, only a small amount needs to be added in products.

Beetroot Juice Powder

Filled with vitamins and minerals, beetroot juice powder is made from dried ground beets. It is known to help increase performance and endurance, lower blood pressure and blood sugar levels, and is also considered a great source of calcium, iron and potassium. Beetroot juice powder also has anti-inflammatory properties and can have a positive effect on overall heart health.
