Dark Chocolate Protein Mug Cake

INGREDIENTS 

  • ¼ cup plain flour
  • 30g Happy Way Dark Chocolate Protein Powder
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • ½ -1 tbsp maple syrup (depending on desired sweetness)
  • ½ cup milk of choice
  • Pinch of salt
  • Milk or dark chocolate chips
  • Peanut butter, to drizzle

METHOD 

  1. In a small bowl or mug, combine the flour, protein powder, cacao powder and salt. Add the milk and maple syrup, then whisk until smooth.
  2. If mixing in a bowl, transfer the batter to a microwave-safe mug. Sprinkle a few chocolate chips on top.
  3. Microwave for 1 to 1½ minutes, or until the cake is just set (it should still be a little gooey in the centre).
  4. Drizzle with peanut butter and top with extra chocolate chips.
