Meet Lucinda Porcelli, Nutritionist and Weight Loss Specialist from Cindafit!

She's confident, driven and passionate. She's determined to help others feel amazing on the inside and out. Her mission is to build a positive environment for women so that they can unlock the brightest, healthiest and most positive versions of themselves! 

We'd like to introduce you to Lucinda Porcelli, Nutritionist and Weight Loss Specialist from Cindafit! One of Happy Way's biggest fans and ambassadors, we chat to Lucinda about Cindafit, her passions, aspirations, and what she loves about her job.

Where did you grow up?

I am a county girl! I am from the small town of Port Pirie, South Australia, and moved to Adelaide after year twelve to undertake my first degree, which was a Bachelor of Health Sciences and emergency Paramedics. 

Tell us about your business, Cindafit.

Cindafit is a Nutritionist and Weight Loss Specialist. 

As a qualified Sports Nutritionist and Health Practitioner, I must be realistic. All of my work is evidence-based science nutrition.

I have produced a program which offers a sustainable lifestyle for EVERYONE; it is family-friendly, shift worker approved and is personalised to individuals' metabolisms and daily energy needs. ​

I am a recipe creator and spend a great deal of time ensuring that when aligning with Cindafit, a person's journey is simple and easy to follow, allowing them the freedom to use our programs without the stress of the finer details. For that reason, every recipe we have created can be found and tracked in the "My Fitness Pal" app, allowing you to track macronutrients easily.

An affirmation I live by is:

What are your passions and aspirations?

My passions are honestly to help as many females achieve sustainable weight loss. 

I am thrilled about having my first book published next year and showing people how delicious losing weight can be when you work with a professional and someone who has such a passion for macro tracking, YET flavours in cooking!  

Each Cindafit recipe has a unique barcode, so all you need to do is scan the barcode, log it, and you are all set to go. 

Another aspiration of mine is to continue directing my study and knowledge to a Clinical Masters Level, with a complete focus on Human Nutrition.

I strive to continue growing my Cindafit team; I have two staff under me now and am fortunate to work alongside amazing people! 

What do you love about your job?

I love seeing and hearing about progress stories; it brings me so much joy to see how far people have come along their journey. I also love seeing my clients gain so much confidence and educating them on having a social balance. Showing people how to love food and eat it for fuel is so rewarding. 

I enjoy showing people how to make sustainable change. Most people do not have the basics right before they do all the complicated or 'quick fixes.' If you apply the basics daily, you will be successful. 

What made you choose this field?

I have a strong passion for food, health and nourishing my body. I love waking up and enjoying what I eat and knowing I am filling my body with energy and not feeling guilty! 

I wanted to share this with the world as so many people focus on ‘fad’, restrictive and structured plan-based diets and heavy exercise routines to lose weight. I show my clients to eat 80% whole food and 20% soul food so they can consume what they love and love what they eat. 

How long have you worked in your field?

I have been working in the health, fitness, and weight loss industry since 2015. 

What made you become a Happy Way ambassador?

I used Happy Way daily for three years before I became an ambassador!!! I became an ambassador because I live and breathe this product; it is part of my life, and I can't live without it. 

I have loved being on the team and sharing a product with all my clients. I am so passionate about it.

Describe what you love about being a Happy Way ambassador.

I love what Happy Way is all about; I love that this product allows me to live my best life and feel SO GOOD! It supports my health, training, and mindset. 

Happy way supports what I am about too; it has allowed me to develop such incredible recipes and what I also adore is that Happy Way shares my vision. 

As a holistic and constitutive coach, I value Happy Way being 100% NATURAL and bursting with extra minerals. Why would you settle for anything less? I want to give my body the best, and this provides that. 

What are your favourite Happy Way products and recipes?

My favourite protein powder must go to Salted Caramel. I have this every day in my oatmeal; I LOVE IT!! 

My favourite recipe: SO VERY HARD! I am publishing a recipe book next year filled with a section called ‘protein sweets.’ It contains over 30 of my favourite treats. ALL of the recipes include Happy Way products!

I also love how universal the vanilla and chocolate flavoured protein powders are in baking. 

What is the first thing you do when you wake up?

I am so big on my morning routine; I start my day the same Monday to Friday.

First up, I have a coffee, followed by going to the gym or for a walk. Then I set my to-do list while enjoying my Happy Way oats! Doing this daily gives me a reason to jump out of bed in the morning. 

Goals give me something to achieve each day and more control over how my day unfolds! I find it essential to start each day with a plan, rather than just letting ‘stuff happen.’

List the top 5 things you must do day-to-day.

  1. Moving my body is non-negotiable. 
  2. I keep myself hydrated and aim for 2 litres a day. 
  3. I nourish my body and include five serves of vegetables a day.
  4. Also, I set daily intentions; I have a plan and tick them off.
  5. Lastly, I participate in mindfulness activity; I listen to a podcast daily.

What is your go-to exercise? 

Oh, that's an EXTREMELY hard question! I love a circuit style training. I am all about short, sharp, and shiny training. I enjoy getting my heart rate up and incorporate strength work with cardio. 

What is your go-to smoothie?

The Cindafit Choc Berry Shake! Here is the recipe; you must give it a go!

What do you do to keep yourself motivated?

To ensure I keep myself motivated, I have my goals all set. When motivation fails, I stay disciplined. These two things often go hand in hand when people try to achieve goals. 

Motivation is something that can be temporary; it comes and goes in waves, which is why it is so ineffective. Yet, most people choose to rely on it to achieve their goals. ⁠

What keeps me in align with my goals is discipline; my daily intentions listed above and having a purpose or attachment to what I am doing. 

A skill that requires practice, discipline comes from the mind, and the mind is the most valuable thing we have. ⁠
