Raw Salted Caramel Protein Powder Balls

Salted caramel - is there a better combo? Well, it's high on our list of favourite pairings, and we're super excited to share this recipe with you.

This one needs eight ingredients, some of which you may have in your pantry. Here's what you'll need: one cup of chocolate whey protein powder, one cup of peanut butter (or your favourite nut/seed butter), one cup of desiccated coconut, and one tablespoon of chia seeds. You'll also need half a cup of rolled oats, one tablespoon of maple syrup or honey, two tablespoons of water, and a pinch of salt. We love these ingredients; it’s no wonder it’s one of our favourite protein ball recipes!

Okay, let's make these protein balls! So, if you want to make around 18 protein balls, begin by mixing the peanut butter and maple syrup in a big bowl or your food processor until it's all combined.

Then, add the oats, chia seeds, three-quarters of the desiccated coconut and the protein powder to the bowl.

If you're using a large wooden spoon instead of a food processor, combine all of the ingredients well until a sticky and dough-like consistency forms.

If the mixture is too wet, add a touch more protein power, or a bit of water if it's too dry and not sticking together.

Next, roll the dough into balls. Then, pour the remainder of the desiccated coconut into a bowl and roll and coat the protein balls in it.

Lastly, place the protein balls in the fridge, allowing them to firm up.

Once they're set, enjoy every delicious mouthful!
